A quiet day

Today was a quiet day when we recovered from the excesses of the night before. As usual at Andrea’s house we ate well for breakfast and for dinner. For breakfast we used leftover sausage from the barbeque, leftover rice from the Chinese on Friday night, fried these together with a free range round egg. Delicious with toast and two or three different cheeses.

Patricia helped Andrea prepare dinner of sautéed chicken breasts and then cooked in the oven with Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar. To accompany the chicken breast a casserole dish was filled with potatoes, mushrooms, green peppers, red onions, green beans, and courgette drizzled with Olive Oil and Vinegar and baked in the oven.
Derek and Dawn left early to return to Telford. Mum, Pat and Colin, Patricia and I walked to town to buy milk, bread, eggs and wine and the rest of the day was spent talking and reading and writing.
